I am a scholar, having earned four doctorate degrees, including a JD, and nine Master's degrees. I am a learner and a teacher. I am creative, analytical, passionate, and organized. I am a writer, a trainer, a presenter, and a financial expert. Diversity

  1. I guess I understand how e-learning could be valuable for anywhere-anytime teaching when the need is to outline do's and don'ts or to communicate regulations to learners, but isn’t diversity just too complex and too in need of learner interaction to be left to the passive educational medium of e-learning?

Human Resources Development

I believe that I'm experiencing gender-based discrimination because of the way I approach problems and make decisions, e.g. getting input from potential stakeholders first instead of dictating a policy outright. I'm also a non-competitive person working in an environment where the predominantly male management seems to value competition and ''tooting one's own horn.'' How often do you encounter this or similar complaints? How should I handle the situation?

  2. In the world of ''What gets measured is what gets done'', how do you measure your company's progress towards diversity goals without ''leading'' HR or Managers to conscious or subconscious reverse discrimination of race, gender, age, thought, etc.?
